Hotel Jerome in Aspen, CO, has an new owner. Iconic Properties now owns the luxury boutique hotel, and Luxury Travel Advisor has the details.

Dan Friedkin, the majority owner and chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection, has purchased Hotel Jerome, an Auberge Resort. Friedkin bought the historic hotel through his hospitality investment company, Iconic Properties. DRW Real Estate sold the century-old property, and Auberge will continue to manage it.

In 2012, Hotel Jerome underwent a complete renovation. The new look included the redesign of the hotel bistro, Prospect, a new Living Room bar and lounge, the addition of the Auberge Spa and a refit for the J-Bar, an Aspen hotspot.

This winter, visitors can start their day with a trip to Aspen’s famous ski slopes and return to the hotel for an "Auberge Head to Toe" massage. The treatment starts with a scalp massage and hair mask then ends with a foot scrub. To complete the Jerome experience, sip a "Smokey Margarita" at the J-Bar.

“I could not be more pleased to welcome Hotel Jerome into our investment portfolio," said Friedkin in a release. "It has an enviable and storied history as a landmark American hotel, and it is most certainly one of the flagship properties of the Auberge Resorts Collection."

Hotel Jerome remains an important part of Aspen tradition and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
