Set to open December 2016, Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, formerly known as VieVage Los Cabos, is set amidst the 1,200-acre resort community of Chileno Bay, a Discovery Land Company development comprised of a private beach club, Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course, residences, and more.
Chileno Bay Resort & Residences will have 60 guestrooms, 32 two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas – each with an outdoor shower, terrace, soaking tub, and marble flooring. Ground-floor villas will have their own private pools, while upper-level villas come with Jacuzzis, while the Sky Villas will have a private rooftop terrace and pool.
The resort will boast three culinary concepts including an open-air signature restaurant designed by Los Angeles-based Gulla Jonsdottir Architecture + Design, a beachside taco bar, and a poolside grill. A three-tiered 150-yard long pool will serve as the centerpiece of Chileno Bay Resort & Residences. Additionally, a full-service spa complete with 10 treatment rooms, purification garden, cool plunge and reflexology pool, steam shower, and sauna.
The Activity Center offers guests a fitness center, movement studio, kids’ club, private theater, and the Chileno Lounge – a place to relax, read a book, watch a sporting event, or mingle with other guests.
For large events, 12,000 feet of meeting and event space is available, including the 7,800-square-foot Citrus and Herb Event Garden (perfect for weddings and private celebrations), 1,000-square-foot air conditioned private dining space, and 1,500-square-foot terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
The San Francisco-based Glazier Le Architects and interior designers BAMO used plenty of earth tones with bright sea-colored tiles, custom fabrics, natural materials, and original art to embrace the Los Cabos aesthetic.
