Bulgari to Open Hotel on Dubai's Jumeirah Bay Island

Dubai's luxury hotel scene keeps expanding: Hotelier Middle East is reporting that Dubai-based real estate development company Meraas Holding has signed an agreement with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts to bring the luxury hospitality brand to the emirate.

The Bulgari Hotel at Jumeirah Bay Island is expected to have 100 rooms and suites in the main buildings as well as 20 hotel villas. The hotel will be designed by Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners.

According to Gulf News, the marine complex will cover more than 1.7 million square feet and will include low rise residential villas, a marina and a range of luxury facilities.

The company did not say when the development’s construction is expected to start and when it is expected to open.

The Bulgari Hotel in Dubai will mark world’s fifth Bulgari Hotels and Resorts property following the opening of Milan in 2004, Bali in 2006, London in 2012, and Shanghai that is anticipated to open in 2015. It will also be the third designer hotel in the UAE, followed by the Armani Hotel in Dubai and the Palazzo Versace, which has delaying its opening.
