Cobblers Cove Finishes Three-Year Renovation

Cobblers Cove, a Relais & Châteaux property on the west coast of Barbados, recently completed a three-year renovation project that upgraded all suites with new floors, fixtures and soft goods, while keeping its colonial Caribbean style and original architecture.

Locally sourced coral stone was used for the refurbished suite floors and outdoor pathways, while the addition and enlargement of existing windows in the Great House and suites increases natural light in the room, expands views, and improves cross breeze. The redesigned bathrooms increased in size and were fitted with all new fixtures and amenities. All 40 individually designed suites and common areas throughout the hotel were treated with new fittings, fabrics and upholstery, accented with hand painted artwork by local artist, Hilary Armstrong.

The hotel’s décor remains intact, blending fine marble tables, porcelain antiques, and simple painted wicker sitting areas against a backdrop of a tropical garden and views of the Caribbean Sea.

At the heart of Cobblers Cove is the Camelot Restaurant. According to the hotel, the restaurant's Chef Jason Joseph and his team source from local suppliers and use fresh ingredients including the daily catch from local fishermen, all served on new bespoke bone china manufactured by William Edwards of Stoke.

The central freshwater swimming pool is set in the tropical gardens overlooking the beach, an ideal spot for relaxation while enjoying a signature cocktail. The hotel’s Sea Moon Spa offers treatments inspired by the ocean and tropical surroundings using products from British skincare specialists Ren, which use chemical free, bio-active ingredients.

This summer season, guests can enjoy the “Summer Nights” package, offering a deal for stays of seven nights for the price of five, 10 nights for the price of seven, or 14 nights for the price of 10, valid now through October 31, 2018 and April 1, 2019 through August 31, 2019.
