In June 2026, Orient Express Corinthian, “the world’s largest sailing yacht,” will take to the open sea, tracing a course through the French and Italian Rivieras. Starting March 25, travelers can begin making reservations for its inaugural season.
Orient Express Corinthian is the product of a collaboration between Orient Express and Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Orient Express Corinthian is 722 feet long with three masts supporting 16,145 square feet of rigid sails and, upon its debut, will become the first sailing yacht equipped with the “SolidSail” propulsion system. Its three tilting, rotating masts optimize performance under sail, harnessing the wind with exceptional efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional fuels. Under optimized wind conditions, the ship will be able to navigate under sails only and reach speeds of up to 17 knots, exceeding the standard engine propulsion speed.
This advanced system is further supported by a hybrid propulsion solution powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which offers a substantial reduction in emissions compared to traditional marine fuels. The commitment to sustainability runs even further: An AI-driven detection system minimizes the risk of marine mammal collisions, while dynamic positioning technology eliminates the need for anchoring, preserving delicate seabeds.
The ship will have 54 suites with panoramic openings to the sea, including six penthouse suites on deck 7. Facilities include five restaurants, eight bars and lounges, an amphitheater, a cinema room, recording studio and wellness center. After sailing the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, Orient Express Corinthian will head to the Caribbean.
