Regent Seven Seas Cruises Announces Executive Promotions

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced the promotion of two longtime sales executives. Shawn Tubman, who has spent the past 11 years with Regent as the vice president of strategic and national accounts, has been appointed as senior vice president of sales, while Shemain Grasso, who has been with the cruise line for 20 years, most recently as senior director of national accounts, has been promoted as vice president of strategic and national accounts.

In his new role, Tubman is responsible for leading the North American sales strategy, overseeing business development, and managing all sales divisions. He will report directly to Andrea DeMarco, who was recently appointed as Regent’s chief sales and marketing officer.

Tubman started his career in 1980 working aboard the former S.S. Norway and has since held a number of sales executive positions, including vice president of North American sales during 20 years at Norwegian Cruise Line. He later served as president of Cruise Shoppes, a travel advisor consortium; led sales and marketing for Maupintour, a tour operator and produced television travel shows.

Grasso has over 27 years of sales experience and started her career as a reservations agent for Premier Cruise Lines, a cruise line holding company formed in the early 1980s. After her time at Premier Cruise Lines, Grasso joined Regent Seven Seas Cruises as program operations coordinator in 2000 and worked her way through various roles, including senior director of national accounts and vice president of national accounts and business development.

Along with Grasso, and rounding out the executive sales management team, the following team members will continue in their roles and report directly to Tubman: Carol Herron, vice president, field sales; Eric Schmit, director, business development and Brenna Abels, director of trade management.
