Seabourn Odyssey Heads to Alaska in Summer 2024

Seabourn is looking ahead to the 2024 Alaska season aboard Seabourn Odyssey as it completes its final season with the ultra-luxury cruise line. Offering 20 sailings from seven to 14 days, Seabourn will immerse guests in the wonders of “The Great Land” from May to August 2024.

Seabourn Odyssey’s 2024 Alaska season will offer a variety of adventures through “Ventures by Seabourn,” including optional escorted activities for guests to get up close to wildlife and other wonders via hike, kayak, catamaran and Zodiac, with expert guides leading the way. Available on all Alaska sailings, “Ventures by Seabourn” will include explorations of Hubbard Glacier, Tracy/Endicott Arm, Inian Islands, Rudyerd Bay (Misty Fjords), Alert Bay in British Columbia and more.

Beginning May 10, Seabourn Odyssey will set sail on its final season with 12 seven-day itineraries from May through August 2024, sailing northbound or southbound between Vancouver and Juneau. Each seven-day voyage can also be combined to create a 14-day round-trip Vancouver voyage. Seabourn Odyssey will also offer two 10-day “Alaska Fjord Odyssey” itineraries, as well as two 11-day “Inside Passage & Alaska Fjords” voyages, scheduled round trip from Vancouver in June.

Each seven-day Alaska itinerary has days of cruising through settings such as Seymour Narrows, Stikine Strait, Snow Pass and the Behman Canal, interspersed with landings at culturally significant towns like Ketchikan, Sitka, Wrangel, Prince Rupert and Alert Bay. Each sailing will include at least one scenic cruise of glaciers such as Tracy or Endicott Arm or Glacier Bay. Here's what guests can expect:

  • On “Alaska Inside Passage & Glacier Bay,” guests explore the largest protected wilderness area on earth, and a national monument, national park, biosphere reserve and International World Heritage Site, with more than 50 named glaciers and wildlife from bears to moose and harbor seals to whales. “Ventures by Seabourn” activities in Inian Islands are sure to be a highlight.
  • On “Glacier Bay & Canadian Inside Passage” guests go deep into the world’s largest protected wilderness area and can enjoy “Ventures by Seabourn” activities and cruising in Misty Fjords National Monument with over 2 million acres of deeply cut fjords cradled in valleys between mountain ranges.
  • On “Glaciers & Alaska Inside Passage,” cruise Yakutat Bay to Hubbard Glacier and enjoy “Ventures by Seabourn” activities at Inian Islands.
  • On “Alaska Fjords & Canadian Inside Passage,” take in “Ventures by Seabourn” activities in the Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm waterways, home to bears, wolves, mountain goats and seals. A visit to Wrangell is also included.

On the 10-day “Alaska Fjords Odyssey” departing June 7, guests travel round-trip from Vancouver, with visits to Ketchikan, Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and the Tlingit village of Klawock on Prince of Wales Island. “Ventures by Seabourn” activities will be available at Inian Island, Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm and Misty Fjords. The 11-day “Inside Passage & Alaska Fjords” departing June 17 is a round-trip voyage from Vancouver with a day to explore Wrangell on an eponymous island amid the Tongass National Rain Forest, setting for the Stikine River, Shakes Glacier and Anan Creek Bear Observatory, home to the largest pink salmon run in the Inside Passage.

Guests may also choose to embark on “Seabourn Journeys” pre- and/or post-cruise extensions featuring land-based accommodations and explorations of destinations that cannot be accessed via single-day excursions from the ship. The 2024 Alaska season offers “The Denali Experience,” a pre-cruise, six-day journey from Anchorage to Juneau via road, rail and air.
