Seabourn Sojourn Adds Signature Restaurant, Mindful Living Program

Seabourn has added two new guest experiences aboard Seabourn Sojourn: the addition of the line's new signature restaurant, The Grill by Thomas Keller, and the new mindful living program created by Dr. Andrew Weil.

The programs were launched following a recent dry dock period, which also included a variety of other updates throughout the ship such as new carpets and designs in the public area and refurbishments made to the Owner's, Signature and Wintergarden Suites.

The Grill by Thomas Keller

The Grill by Thomas Keller, reminiscent of the classic American restaurant from the 50s and 60s, has a menu of "updated classics." For instance, guests are treated to table-side preparations of Caesar salad and ice cream sundaes as well as a range of other options such as premium steaks, whole roasted chicken and Lobster Thermidor. A cocktail program and wine list of domestic and Old World labels are curated to complement the menu.

Spa & Wellness With Dr. Andrew Weil

As on other vessels across the Seabourn fleet, the Spa & Wellness program on Seabourn Sojourn is led by a dedicated Mindful Living Coach, certified in yoga and meditation, whose role is to inspire and educate throughout the voyage. The main pillar of the program is the daily practice of meditation and yoga. Classes are varied, with choices focused on physical issues, such as the healing of back and joint pain, headaches and body alignment, or the enhancement of creativity, mental focus and happiness.

Complimentary Mind and Body seminars are designed to educate guests on philosophies and practices for healthy living. Onboard seminars adapted from Dr. Weil's books and research discussions range from "Spontaneous Happiness & Spontaneous Healing" to "Healthy Aging" and more. One-on-one wellness sessions on select topics and a variety of wellness services are also available for a fee.

Both The Grill by Thomas Keller and Spa & Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil will become available on Seabourn Ovation at the ship's launch in May 2018.

Seabourn Sojourn is currently offering Extended Explorations itineraries through the first part of 2018, giving travelers a more in-depth experience of a particular region; these longer voyages frequently include more overnight stays. The ship will then return to Alaska for the summer in 2018, taking travelers on the Ventures by Seabourn excursions.
