Seabourn to Offer Local Culinary Events on 2020 World Cruise

Seabourn’s 2020 world cruise, scheduled to set sail early next January, will include traditional dinner events in Barbados, India and Fiji. The 146-day World Cruise: Extraordinary Destinations will sail on the Seabourn Sojourn and include 16 overnights, 18 late evening stays and 62 port visits.

With the Seabourn Sojourn departing from Miami on January 4, the first dinner experience will come less than two weeks later on January 15. The ‘De Bajan Dinner Extravaganza’ in Barbados will include local rum cocktails, Barbadian cuisine and a dance performance.

On March 11, passengers will stop in Chennai, India for dinner. While they sample an assortment of local wines and spirits, guests will witness a Thalam Welcome Ceremony, a live Carnatic classical music performance and a Bharatanatyam dance performance.

Stopping at the five-star Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, Fiji, guests will watch performances by Fijian Iali drummers and traditional dancers. The night, scheduled for May 7, will culminate with a buffet dinner featuring a variety of local dishes.

Seabourn’s 2020 world cruise will sail eastward from Miami, eventually arriving in San Francisco on May 28, 2020. The nearly-five-month sailing will stop at destinations in the Caribbean, Africa, India, southeast Asia, Australia, the South Pacific and Hawaii. Featured ports include Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles; Cape Town, South Africa; Singapore; Cairns, Australia; Kona, Hawaii; and San Francisco, California.
