Silversea Explores Culture with 2017 Opera Cruises

In partnership with Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Silversea will offer three opera-themed cruises with four soloists and one pianist performing on board. Guests will have the opportunity to deepen both their knowledge and passion aboard these themed cruises while also listening to opera in two exclusive concerts. 

Opera Cruise Sailings:

June 25, 2017: 12-day cruise from Rouen to Lisbon on Silver Spirit with ports of call in Guernsey, Saint Malo, La Pallice (La Rochelle), Le Verdon (Bordeaux), St Jean de Luz, Bilbao La Coruna and Oporto. 

July 15, 2017: 12-day cruise from Piraeus (Athens) to Civitavecchia (Rome) on Silver Muse with ports of call in Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Heraklion, Monemvasia, Katakolon (Olympia), Valleta, Taormina, Sicily and Sorrento.

September 21, 2017: Seven-day cruise from Piraeus (Athens) to Venice on Silver Spirit with ports of call in Monemvasia, Corfu, Kotor, Hvar, Koper and Venice.

  • Exclusive performances with singers from the Accademia Teatro alla Scala

The Accademia Teatro alla Scala prepares young opera singers for a professional career in a two-year course. La Scala soloists have performed all over the world including: Austria, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, South Korea, Oman, Russia, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Former Accademia students take the stage at many distinguished theatres in Italy and around the world.
