Star Clippers is adding ports in Cambodia to its Southeast Asia itineraries. New itineraries for 2020 include 10- and 11-night sailings that visit Cambodia for the first time, and will vary port of calls on the Thai, Malay and Indonesian archipelagos.
The 170-passenger Star Clipper will begin calling on Cambodia during a newly launched 11-night round trip itinerary out of Ko Samui, Thailand in April. Cambodian ports of call include the island of Koh Rong. There, cruisers can witness dense forests and white sandy beaches ideal for a jungle walk or boat excursion.
In Sihanoukville, cruisers can experience the more cosmopolitan side of Cambodia. A similar, 10-day version of this itinerary will also visit Cambodia, along with other Thai ports of call, including Ko Wua Ta Lap, a National Marine Park known for its views and Pattaya, known for thriving nightlife.
An optional, two-day excursion to visit the temple complex of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap will be available. The two-day option to one of the world’s largest religious monuments includes hotel accommodations, roundtrip flights from Sihanoukville, transfers, most meals and visits to the Bayon Temples, Phnom Bakheng and Angkor Thom Temple.
The 11-day Ko Samui itinerary will sail April 11 and October 10, while the 10-day itinerary will sail April 22 and October 21.
