Tradewind Voyages Announces 2021-22 Caribbean Season

Tradewind Voyages has officially launched its Caribbean itinerary with sales in North America. Tall ship, the Golden Horizon will make its inaugural voyage in the region from Barbados on November 11. "Safe Sailing" protocols have also been implemented to ensure the well being of guests and crew, which include a fully COVID-vaccinated policy, besides complimentary pre-boarding antigen testing.

There are 21 departures on offer between November 11 and March 31, all of which are roundtrips from Barbados. Each voyage spans seven nights and is inclusive of all meals and soft drinks. The "Undiscovered Caribbean" itinerary will involve a day of sailing before guests arrive at Charlotteville in Tobago, St. George’s in Grenada, Mayreau in the Grenadines, Kingstown in St. Vincent and Soufriere Bay in St Lucia.

The Golden Horizon will sail to Roseau in Dominica, Fort de France in Martinique and Port Elizabeth in Bequia, as well as Iles de Saintes in Guadeloupe as part of the Caribbean’s "Hidden Gems" itinerary.

The "Icons of the Caribbean" itinerary will take guests to beaches, national parks and historical treasures on Barbados, Antigua and St. ucia. Additional ports of call include St. Kitts and St. Barth's.

Commenting on the launch, CEO of Tradewind Voyages, Alan McGrory said that guests will have the opportunity to experience the smaller ports of call and to visit many destinations in the Caribbean. He added that the company has opened up sales to travelers from North America for the first time, thanks to the appointment of Discover the World as its general sales agent.

In addition to all guests and crew being double vaccinated, "Safe Sailing" protocols will also include social distancing, testing and health screening, and medical services with qualified staff.

Golden Horizon’s design is based on France II, a square-rigged tall ship built in 1913, and is inspired by Tea Clippers and Cape Horners. The ship features five bars, spa facilities, three pools, a dining room with central skylight, and has a high staff-to-guest ratio. There are 140 cabins, all of which offer ocean views.
