Travel Experts, a host agency for independent luxury travel advisors, has set the time and place for Summit 2, an exclusive gathering of advisors and industry suppliers to discuss strategies for promoting travel over the next few years. The event will be held April 10-15, 2020, onboard a pair of Scenic River Cruises' luxury ships sailing out of Amsterdam.

In a written release, Sharon Fake, Travel Experts director of operations, said the success of the first Summit in 2018 prompted both members and suppliers to seek another opportunity to meet together as a group. This year, "We have 44 Virtuoso suppliers and limit the number of travel advisors to 150 to facilitate quality time between participants,” Fake said, adding that meetings with all suppliers are guaranteed for all participating advisors.

In addition, several Virtuoso supplier partners are offering pre- and post-cruise trip opportunities for advisors to experience their products and services. Hotel partners in Amsterdam are planning an exclusive pre-cruise hotel day and entertainment for the opening party prior to embarkation.

Summit 2 will take place simultaneously on Scenic River Cruises' Jasper and Opal. The sister ships, which each carry a maximum of 169 passengers, will sail roundtrip from Amsterdam to Arnhem, Antwerp and Rotterdam. Logistics have been arranged to make sure that intermingling of passengers on both ships are assured for maximum connections between all participants.

Fake describes Summit 2 as “ another opportunity to create a unique asset for both our independent advisors and the suppliers who work with Virtuoso and the Travel Experts network.”
