After Beverly Hills, a Waldorf Astoria for San Francisco

Waldorf Astoria San Francisco

Did you hear that Waldorf Astoria will be opening a new-build hotel in Beverly Hills next to the Beverly Hilton in 2017? Not only that, but Waldorf Astoria—which currently numbers 26 properties around the world—has also announced a new project in the SoMa district of San Francisco. Slated to open in 2020, the Waldorf Astoria San Francisco will anchor a new mixed-use complex with entertainment, retail and office space encompassing nearly two million square feet.

The luxury hotel will occupy 21 stories of a new tower designed by Foster + Partners at Mission Street between Ecker and 1st Streets. The interiors will be designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, whose portfolio includes Ritz Carlton Galazy Macau, The Alpina Gstaad in Switzerland, the Couture Suite in the St Regis Rome, and other luxury hotels around the globe. Facilities at the Waldorf Astoria San Francisco will include a spa and the signature Peacock Alley restaurant.

This will be the third property for Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts—after La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs and the future Waldorf Astoria in Los Angeles.
