Ashford Castle Offers Harry Potter Halloween

1750

This looks like a wonderful family getaway to Ireland: Ashford Castle will offer a "Harry Potter"-themed experience at the historic hotel over Halloween week.

Guests can explore secret rooms, high ceilings, and eight centuries of history. They can participate in a treasure hunt, tap into their inner artist with an afternoon in the "chamber of arts," and channel their inner house elf by going to cookery school. (Dobby would be proud.) Grownups, meanwhile, will appreciate the romantic dinner escape.

Two "Hogwarts Halloween" packages are offered from October 26 through November 3:

October 26, 28, 30; November 1, 3
Noon: "Forbidden Forest" treasure hunt for the whole family
