Asprey Diamond Jubilee Afternoon Tea at The Langham

The Langham’s already pulled out all the stops in designing a regal dinner menu to honor the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. (Dishes like the Hereford Strawberry Queen of Puddings and Soft Cotswold Legbar Hen’s Egg à la Reine have a royal connection; The Jubilee menu at Roux at The Landau will be available from May 28- June 9th, 2012.) Now the London luxury hotel has announced another celebratory offer for the occasion. The Langham has teamed up with British luxury goods brand Asprey to create a royal Afternoon Tea to mark 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II on the throne.

Head Pastry Chef Cherish Finden has created a selection of sweets inspired by Asprey’s jewelry designs, including the Daisy Heritage, Woodland and classic collections. Served in Palm Court, the Afternoon Tea features pastries and cakes decorated with the symbolic purple color, like the Blueberry and Bilberry Battenburg; Purple Jasmine with Apricot; Blackcurrant and White Chocolate Mousse. There are also scones and specialty sandwiches aplenty. And the Tea Sommelier can help with your choice of tea.

The Asprey Diamond Jubilee Tea is available until October 2012, and is priced at £49.00 per person, including VAT. For more information, visit www.palm-court.co.uk
