Brooklyn Park to Screen Movies Outdoors

We're still eagerly awaiting summer in New York City…or at least spring…so while we dream about the city's gorgeous rooftop bars, we can also start mentally preparing for other fun warm-weather activities.

For example, the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy just announced the lineup for their annual free film series Syfy Movies With A View, which kicks off July 11 with Ferris Bueller's Day Off. City website Gothamist is reporting that the 14th season, which is one again sponsored by the Syfy channel, will run the free films every Thursday at Pier 1 starting at dusk, with DJs spinning tunes beforehand beginning at 6 p.m.

The schedule is a good mix of comedies, classics and some modern masterpieces…but frankly, we're just looking forward to sitting outside again and enjoying some prime entertainment.
