Burberry’s London Flagship Opens All-Day Café

Burberry Cafe in London

If you’re traveling to London this summer, add this new hot spot to your itinerary. Burberry has opened its first-ever café in the Regent Street flagship. Named Thomas’s after the luxury brand’s founder (Thomas Burberry), the café offers a tantalizing selection of seasonal dishes showcasing the best of Britain. Ingredients are sourced from artisanal growers and UK farmers. Think lobster and chips, cured salmon and scrambled eggs, a York ham and cheddar sandwich, Mersea rock oysters, not to mention Afternoon Tea. The café occupies a split-level space, designed with black and white marble floors.

There’s also a new gift area, featuring products exclusively created for the store -- like stationary, travel amenities, home décor, and aline of canvas tote bags printed with London maps. The gifts can be monogrammed while you browse the store. Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s CEO, was quoted as saying that the brand “wanted to create a space where our customers can spend time relaxing and enjoying the world of Burberry in a more social environment.”
