Chic Sweets: Ladurée Debuts in NYC

We know New York needs another macaron like a hole in the head, but consider this: Paris' Ladurée has debuted a New York outpost. (For those of you not in the macaron know, Ladurée has honed the macaron to godly perfection.)

The new shop, at Madison Avenue and E 71 Street, is done up in pale green with mirrors and dark wood (tres Parisienne). We hear from the New York Times that this was meant to showcase chocolates, tabletop items and macarons, all imported from Paris.
