Where do celebrities like Catherine Deneuve, Natalia Vodianova, Kylie Minogue and Kristin Scott Thomas get their hair colored in Paris? They head to Le Meurice, the famed palace hotel on rue de Rivoli, where famed hair colorist Christophe Robin has his salon-atelier inside suite 128-129. But starting next month, Robin will leave these five-star digs to open up a new salon on rue Bachaumont in the 2nd arrondissement.
As reported by The New York Times, Robin will move to a new salon which will allow him to open up to a bigger clientele (not just VIPs). This street has been in the limelight because of the Hotel Bachaumont, a trendy boutique property which opened last year with a fabulous bar overseen by the tastemakers behind the Experimental Cocktail Club. Christophe Robin’s new salon, which will also have a boutique selling his line of hair care products, will only add to the rue’s cachet. According to The New York Times, the space was designed by architect François Bosc and fashion designer John Galliano (a friend of Robin’s).
