Cocktails and Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides at the Ritz Paris

The Ritz ParisBefore The Ritz Paris closes its doors in August 2012 for the talked-about 27-month renovation project, the hotel is spoiling guests rotten. Especially for Valentine’s Day. In fact, the entire month of February means an array of special amenities with the "Very Special Valentine's Day" package. We’re not just talking chocolates in your room (though the Pastry Chef is whipping up something fabulous). What’s really cool: Inside your room, you’ll find all the ingredients to pour a “Miss Bonde,” the iconic strawberry Champagne cocktail served at the hotel’s famous Hemingway Bar.

Not only that, guests will get pillowcases embroidered with their initials, and a copy of “The Ritz Paris: Mixing Drinks, A Simple Story” by Colin Field, the legendary bartender. If you stay on Valentine’s Day itself, you’ll be privy to a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Place Vendôme. The Valentine’s Day meal at L’Espadon will be accompanied by live music; every guest will get a bottle of Ritz rose Champagne and a flower arrangement by the hotel’s florist; and at the end of the feast, one lucky lady will be presented with a “magnificent jewel.” For more details, see the hotel's website: www.ritzparis.com.
