David Lynch’s Silencio Nightclub Arrives in Cannes

Silencio Cannes

All eyes are on the French Riviera this month, as Hollywood A-listers and international movie stars hit the red carpet in Cannes. The 67th film festival officially opened with Grace of Monaco, starring Nicole Kidman, last Wednesday, and will continue to run until May 24, 2014. In addition to the glamorous parties hosted by the luxury hotels on La Croisette, Cannes welcomes a number of pop-up shops, cafes, and parties for the duration of the event.

Buzzed about this year is the Silencio nightclub, which was originally created by director David Lynch in Paris and now pops up in prestigious international locations (like Art Basel in Miami and Frieze London). This is the third year it is taking place in Cannes. Located on the top floor of an old casino just a minute’s walk from the Palais des Festivals, Silencio has three outdoor terraces, a restaurant, a cocktail bar and a club for private events and screenings.

Food is by David Toutain—one of the hottest chefs in Paris at the moment—and the nightly music program features special DJ guests like Laurent Garnier, Mark Ronson, Synapson, Jabberwocky, Verdade and The Penelopes. For more information, visit http://silencio-club.com.
