Good news for foodies: Hotelier Middle East is reporting that the St. Regis Doha will open its signature restaurant Astor Grill on September 4, which just happens to be the anniversary of the opening of the chain’s founding hotel, St. Regis New York.
We hear that the menu at Astor Grill, which will be helmed by Paris-trained Mauritian chef Rudy Petersen, is inspired by classic French cuisine, but incorporates a modern open kitchen and table-side preparations.
The menu includes a selection of steaks, including Wagyu, Black Angus, and Kobe beef, available in customized sizes and served with side dishes like truffle potato puree and wild mushroom fricassee.
Best of all: The Astor Grill concept could possibly be implemented in upcoming St. Regis hotels.
