Here’s a welcome bit of news for Eurostar passengers. Fortnum & Mason will be opening its second store in London for the first time in its 300+ year history. Spanning 2,000 square feet, the new store will bring gourmet delights to the former ticket hall of St. Pancras train station in November. Before hopping on a train for Paris, travelers can sit down for tea, or grab take-out to enjoy on the Eurostar.
As quoted on Vogue.com, Chief Executive Ewan Venters said, "St Pancras is London's Grand Central Station. It's a great opportunity. We feel that the centre of gravity in London is moving north and east from Piccadilly. Thirty five million people a year go through the station, and nearly a quarter of those people are going there to shop rather than to travel."
