Four Seasons Budapest Offers Cooking Classes

The Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest is offering two distinct cooking classes that focus on local Hungarian cuisines.

First, the sweet: The Rigó Jancsi is a chocolate sponge cake and chocolate cream pastry, and the hotel is offering a cooking class with Pastry Chef Arpad Szucs to learn how to prepare it from scratch. The class can be combined with a two-hour city tour including cake tastings in the Ruzwurm Café in the Buda Castle district.

Now for the spicy: Hungarian paprika is thought to be one of the finest in the world, with more than 40 different types available. Executive Chef Simone Cerea will give a cooking class around the famous ingredient, including a visit to Central Market Hall (pictured), shopping and preparation of a Hungarian three-course lunch menu. A set of hot and sweet paprikas and apron are provided as a keepsake gift.
