Heads up, oenophiles! This winter, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest is offering unique experiences that can be arranged when booking any package until March 31.
For wine lovers who have already toured Burgundy and Napa Valley, the hotel has created a wine tour to the Etyek-Buda wine region, just 30 minutes west of Budapest, which we hear is similar to France’s Champagne region. The tour includes a visit to Haraszthy Vallejo Winery, a personalized tour, viewing of its unique technology and an overview of the complete wine-making process—right through to labeling a bottle. Guests can also try a guided tasting of the winery’s best selections, including tastings right from the barrel, and pairings with antipasti. Bonus: Visitors can further educate their palate by learning the skills of fragrance matching. They will be presented with a box of ampoules, each containing a fragrance that is typically found in wine.
