Four Seasons Nevis Kicks Off 2012 With Fresh Look

The Four Seasons Resort Nevis is starting off the year with an updated look, an array of new excursions, new flight options and a new website.

The resort recently completed a two-year, $110 million renovation, which included the debut of two newly refurbished luxury suites, new dining and activity programs and an expanded fitness center.

The refurbished suites feature full-length, furnished terraces with views of the Caribbean Sea and the resort's Robert Trent Jones II golf course. Each suite spans more than 1600 square feet and can be configured to two- or three-bedroom options.

New resort programs include rainforest hikes and tours with the island’s Bush Medicine Man to learn about local healing ingredients used in the resort’s dining and spa venues and on-property Garden Tours with one of the resort’s staff botanists led by Director of Landscaping Dane Sandiford. Nice touch: These new programs have been created exclusively for hotel guests.

Also, the new Laser Sail School is ideal for guests looking to earn their sailor stripes. The two-day instructional program includes a four-hour session each morning and afternoon and covers the basics of wind direction, safety and boat setup before heading out on the water for hands-on sailing instruction with the experienced marine staff.

The fitness center, located in the resort's Sports Pavilion, has been updated, as well. The refurbished space has been expanded to include a stretching area and features an all new weight lifting circuit area.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis offers a private passage from the St. Kitts airport to the property aboard the Resort’s Island Express III or new double-decker luxury yacht, Nevisian Spirit. Guests are met by Four Seasons staff at the St. Kitts Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Airport and then transported by the private launch directly to the Resort pier.

Once onboard, guests are offered chilled lemongrass scented towels, healthy snacks, specialty cocktails and sparkling wines during the 35-minute journey across the narrows. The newest addition to the Resort’s fleet is the Nevisian Dream boat, just launched this month. The 20-passenger vessel can zip across the narrows from St. Kitts to Nevis in 20 minutes.

Unveiled earlier this month, the Four Seasons website allows users to take a virtual tour of Four Seasons Resort Nevis and to discover island itineraries, resort amenities and experiences, guest reviews, and the need-to-know information about the property.
