Gleneagles Unveils Multi-Million-Dollar Renovation

Any golfer worth his or her salt knows The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. But here's some juicy news that we think needs to be shared. The luxury hotel has recently unveiled the new Dormy Clubhouse following a $4.9 million renovation.

We hear that this refurbishment represents the completion of the next stage in the five-star resort's preparation to host the Ryder Cup matches in 2014. Other renovation highlights include the introduction of The Mitchell Room, which can be used for meetings and offers views across the 18th green of both the King's and Queen's Courses; a port cochere at the front; new steward-attended changing rooms; a lounge area with new furnishings; a horseshow-shaped bar; and the restyled Clubhouse Bar & Grill.
