Grand Solmar, Cabo San Lucas

Jetsetters looking for some much-needed privacy should look no further than Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa, which will debut in February 2011. Here’s why: The resort is on a spread of private white sand beach at the southernmost tip of the Baja peninsula. All beaches in Mexico are public, but this particular stretch is surrounded by craggy cliffs and is accessible only through the resort. If it’s a scene you are after, the hotel fits the bill (it’s close to downtown Cabo San Lucas, where buzzing nightlife abounds).

The resort will debut in two phases; the first unveiling 119 suites and the second opening the remaining 170. Grand Solmar has six categories of suites, all with ocean views. Top Pick: The four-bedroom, 6,232-square-foot penthouses. These suites feature large terraces with private beachfront pools and Jacuzzis. Guests of the three- and four-bedroom penthouses are also entitled to exclusive check-in, a welcome dinner, in-villa massage and other VIP amenities.

The resort has two restaurants and three bars, and as a perk, guests will also have access to six other restaurants that are part of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts collection.

Want above and beyond? We love their exciting spa concept. The buzz on the 10-treatment room spa is that each room will focus on treatments and designs from a different country.
