Hotel Buzz: Selman Marrakech to Debut in May

May is just around the corner and with it will come a brand-new luxury getaway in Marrakech.

The Selman Marrakech, slated to debut May 1, sits at the foot of the Atlas Mountains and was designed in the eye of Jacques Garcia. We hear the resort will have 56 rooms and suites (think 30 Deluxe rooms, 20 Junior Suites, six Deluxe Suites and five Riads). Note: The Riads come in four one-bedroom and one two-bedroom configurations. Each Riad has a private garden, heated pool and 24-hour butler service.

Dining options will include Selman, a luxury brasserie with an international menu and Assil Pavilion, specializing in Mediterranean-inspired dishes. There bars will also be available to guests. The Selman Bar, which extends into an open terrace, The Pavilion Bar, with views of the hotel's Arabian horses and the Pool Bar, located next to the 260-foot main pool.

Spa enthusiasts will flip for the Espace Vitalité Chenot, a 12,000-square-foot oasis of tranquility with seven treatment rooms and four Hydrotherapy rooms. Other amenities will include an indoor pool, massage jet pool, Hammam, sauna, fitness facilities, Relaxation Room, Spa Suite with private Turkish bath, two outdoor heated pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi.
