The Hotel Ritz Madrid has once again been reborn, and the Royal Suite, which overlooks the iconic Museo del Prado, is the latest of the iconic hotel’s top accommodations to be refreshed.

Ideal for families, the suite has two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with twin beds, as well as two rooms that can serve for living or dining. (Also good for families: The suite has three full baths.) We love that the entire suite can be divided into two apartments with a bedroom, a living room and at least one bathroom apiece. Private butler service can be arranged upon request.

The hotel frequently gets heads of state and royals, so the aptly named suite can be set up with some top security measures for VIP guests. (Princesses Diana and Grace both stayed at the Ritz with their respective princes, and artists like Madonna, Frank Sinatra and Salvador Dali have called the Ritz home for a time.)

Downstairs, the hotel’s Goya restaurant is reportedly one of the best places to see and be seen in Madrid, especially in summer when the Terrace and Garden are open. Chef Jorge González’s menu changes seasonally to include fresh produce, but the “Cocido madrilène” is reportedly very popular in winter. For a sample of what the restaurant can offer, try the tasting menu.

Head concierge Alejandro Alegre can arrange just about anything for guests—think tours of the city, or, for those looking to explore other areas, a limousine or a rental car for getting around in style. Since the hotel is so close to the legendary Prado, Alegre can also arrange private after-hours tours of the museum for an exclusive one-on-one experience with the priceless treasures.

While the Ritz Madrid does not have a spa per se, the Wellness Center does have two massage rooms and guests can order in-room treatments. (We hear the aromatherapy experiences are tops.) Cool Touch: Some therapies can be extended for days. The Bodyna Dream, for example, can stretch out over a full day, and includes a purifying facial (80 minutes), an aromatherapy massage (50 minutes), an Ayurveda massage (50 minutes) and a reflexology session (50 minutes).
