Returning guests to the InterContinental Singapore are in for a new twist. We hear that the hotel has stepped up its focus on Singapore's Peranakan guest experience by revamping its 65 shophouse guest rooms and suites, to reflect this part of Singaporean culture.
The entire row of Peranakan-style shophouse rooms and suites preserved from the 1920s have received a makeover incorporating inspiration from the homes of Peranakan families dating back to the 17th century (along with the latest 21st century touches, of course).
The newly refurbished rooms have further enhanced the hotel's Insider Collection.
