Katara Hospitality—whose portfolio also includes The Savoy in London, and The Peninsula and Le Royal Monceau in Paris—embarked on a major renovation of Hotel Royal Savoy in Lausanne. The legendary building will be expanded with a new modern addition. Nestled on a sprawling park overlooking Lake Geneva, the historic Grande Dame has been welcoming well-heeled guests since 1909.

Expected to open in October 2015, the Hotel Royal Savoy has 196 guest rooms, extensive meeting facilities (including Lausanne’s largest ballroom), a cigar lounge, and a rooftop terrace called the Sky Lounge with panoramic views. The brasserie and lounge bar round out the F&B options.
