London's Dorchester Gets New Hotel Manager

Big news today from London, where The Dorchester has appointed John Scanlon as hotel manager effective from March 1.

Scanlon moves from his most recent position as director of revenue for parent company Dorchester Collection, which he has held since 2008. In this position, Scanlon helped improve the revenue management culture across all the company’s hotels, following previous years as revenue manager at The Dorchester.

Between 1991 and 2005, Scanlon progressed through The Lanesborough from night manager to reservations manager, then front of house manager, until finally rooms division manager and deputy to the managing director.  Previous experience includes positions at Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow Airport and Trusthouse Forte Hotels across England.

Reporting to general manager and regional director UK Roland Fasel, Scanlon will oversee all hotel operations at The Dorchester.
