Luxury Eco Camp Draws Luxe Travelers to Antarctica

 

Who would have thought that the icy, barren landscape home to more penguins than people would soon become all the rage among luxury travelers? But sure enough, the well-heeled have spoken and Antarctica is at the tops of their lists.

According to Luxury Travel Magazine, a new five-star luxury ecological camp has opened up, to suit the tastes of these adventurous VIPs. White Desert is comprised of domed, frameless structures that have the strength of a normal building, but the flexibility and mobility of a tent, Luxury Travel Magazine reports.

"Six of the seven pods are en-suite bedrooms. The interiors include two single beds (converting into one double bed, on request) a wash area, toilet and writing desk. There is also a separate shower tent with a full shower and toilet facilities," the magazine writes. 

White Desert arranges adventures from eight-day safaris to visit the Emperor Penguins, to shorter trips if people are on a time restriction.
