Luxury Fashion Brand Organizes Highland Scotland Experience

If your clients are obsessed with all things Scottish, or with old-fashioned hunting, they'll love this: The Fraser Balgowan Experience is a three day excursion in the Scottish Highlands with the owners of Fraser Balgowan, Scotland’s newest sustainable luxury brand, which was recently picked up for Fall 2012 by Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.

All materials utilized in the bags are sourced directly from estates in the Scottish Highlands. The brand features limited editions based on traditional styles time-tested by Highlanders and now adapted to modern life. Two made-to-order collections will available and sold at retail through a small number of exclusively selected luxury retailers for a Fall, Holiday 2012 launch in the US and in London.

Guests will go deerstalking with owner Ewan Fraser in order to shoot a Scottish wild red deer, and then work with Fiona Fraser to create a bespoke Fraser Balgowan bag using the hide of their deer. Most importantly, guests will learn about how both the land and the deer are managed sustainably since the disappearance of natural predators (such as wolves). Good to know: The hunting season runs from July 1 to February 15, but guests can still shoot pictures outside of these dates.

Guests will stay in the 19th century Inverlochy Castle Hotel, a Relais & Chateau property converted from a historic baronial mansion near the 13th century Inverlochy Castle from which it is named, in Fort William, Scotland.
