It’s been years in the making, and now Jumeirah’s first property in Continental Europe is readying for its debut. Come August, business travelers can bunk down in the new five-star hotel that promises the largest guest rooms in the financial capital on the river Main (aka “Mainhattan”). The 218-room Jumeirah Frankfurt is part of the PalaisQuartier redevelopment project, and has a city-central location near the stock exchange and the opera house, just five minutes from Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre and two minutes from the main train station.
With this new property, the Dubai-based Jumeirah Group is aiming to compete with the finest hotels in town (Rocco Forte’s Villa Kennedy and the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof). Facilities will include the signature Talise spa, a dedicated conference floor with a large ballroom overlooking the Thurn and Taxis Palais. Restaurants will be helmed by Executive Chef Martin Steiner, who made his name with stints at The Savoy and the Kempinski Hotel Group.
