Luxury Turkish Rug Store Opens in New York

Interior design fanatics have a new reason to go shopping in New York's SoHo district: Stepevi, a high-end Turkish rug company, has opened its first North American locale in the ultra-trendy neighborhood, according to luxury site HauteLiving.com. The company was established seven years ago by a family that has been in the business of rich textiles since the 1900s, the article says.

Stepevi has showrooms in other cities like London, Paris, Milan and Istanbul. The 2,500 square-foot showroom will reportedly host both the textural designs as well as some of the company’s furniture.

The SoHo store is on 147 Wooster Street.
