In London next week? The Dorchester will be hosting a Wonderland-inspired Afternoon Tea in the Promenade from Monday October 28-November 1, 2013 that’s not just for kids. The Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea Party will serve whimsical cakes (like a macaron in the shape of the White Rabbit’s watch), scones, and finger sandwiches with live entertainment, to boot. Young dancers from the English National Ballet School—dressed in character like the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Dormouse, and Alice herself—will entertain guests with pirouettes and jetés around the tables.
Served daily at 2:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., the tea is priced from £51 per adult including a glass of champagne (£56.50 with Laurent–Perrier Rose champagne) and £30 for children aged 5-11. £1 from every booking will be donated to Cancer Research.
