New in Boston: The Revere Hotel Opens Today

The Revere, BostonThere’s a new luxury hotel on the block in Boston. The Revere opens today in honor of patriot Paul Revere's famous ride that took place on April 18, 1775. Formerly a Radisson, the hotel has morphed into a sleek, contemporary space on 200 Stuart Street in the theatre district. BBGM Interiors (behind the design of the W and St. Regis in New York City) did up the 356 guest rooms in a glam yet comfortable style—in three different areas for “sleep,” “work” and “lounge.” All rooms have large balconies overlooking the city, and Skoah skin care amenities. The hotel has partnered with various local brands, and Skoah is one of them. (Its only boutique is located a few blocks away.)

Particularly noteworthy: The Presidential Suite (pictured) located on the 24th floor. Sprawling across 1,400 square feet, the suite has a wet bar, a personal library curated by Brookline Booksmith, an eight-person conference table, and a spacious lounge for entertaining guests.

Other interesting amenities at The Revere: complimentary wireless Internet, Kindles to borrow, and a 24 hour fitness center. The Revere also has a few different events venues, including Theatre 1—a real theatre complete with 225 plush seats.

HotelChatter describes what’s in store for opening day: “Rock climbers from Boston Rock Gym will scale down the 24 stories of the hotel's exterior sporting the Revere's hotel uniforms. These unis were designed in partnership with students at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and will be worn by the hotel's doormen, valets and cocktail servers.
