The Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is luxing it up with a special new service from a dedicated John Lobb Shoe Shine chair situated in the hotel’s East Lobby starting at the end of this month. One of only four in the world, the bespoke chair was designed by interior designer Rena Dumas with wood and Hermes buffalo leather and comes with nickel-plated brass footrests. The Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong partnered with John Lobb, the manufacturer of hand-crafted men’s shoes and accessories, to train the Shoe-Shine Butlers in using the finest John Lobb waxes, polishes, and brushes.
Get a John Lobb shoe-shine while catching up on the day’s news and enjoying your morning cup of coffee. Priced at HKD150, the 15 minute service will be offered between 8 a.m. – 9 a.m., 12 noon – 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and is available to both hotel guests and visitors.
