New Luxe Tour Operator Focuses on Unique Europe

Anthony Bay has launched Anthony Bay’s Europe, a specialty and luxury travel company offering what he calls "imaginative itineraries for discerning travelers." The trips, he adds, go beyond "the over-run tourist destinations" to focus on more unique experiences, like meeting with dignitaries and honey producers, visiting artists and chefs, and experiencing the cultural variations of the continent.

Each itinerary has been designed personally by Bay , who personally escorts each trip, ensuring personal attention.

Each itinerary runs a week, and  trips are limited to 16 people, assuring attention to individual needs and creating intimate experiences not possible on larger tours. Even better: The itineraries have guaranteed departures once two passengers are confirmed.

Destinations for 2011 include Italy, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro and Romania. A few of Bay’s favorite itineraries this year include:

Hidden Europe: A Journey Through Transylvania and the Maramureş Region

have lunch with a priest in his garden and in a 15th Century manor that belonged to a Transylvanian Prince

Insights into Inspiration:  The Lives of Painters from Paris to Provence and the Riviera

Bay has worked for more than 22 years of work in luxury tourism. A former diplomat, art historian and self-described foodie, Bay also spent decades as a director with Abercrombie & Kent Europe researching, designing and escorting deluxe itineraries throughout Europe, forging connections with artists, chefs, organic farmers and vintners, religious leaders, painters, business leaders, politicians and more. Bay and his family reside in Provence, France.
