New Restaurants in London: Galvin Demoiselle at Harrods

Gavin Demoiselle at Harrod'sIn a city that's fast becoming a global gastronomic capital, there are exciting restaurant openings happening all the time. A recent debut that's getting lots of buzz: Galvin Demoiselle at Harrod's Food Hall. This is the fifth London outpost from the Galvin Restaurants group, helmed by Michelin-starred brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin.

Opened in March in an elevated mezzanine space that overlooks the famous Food Hall, the bistro serves French cuisine, including signature dishes like confit pork cheeks and tarte tatin, made with seasonal ingredients of the finest quality. For shoppers looking for a pick-me-up, there are plenty of light dishes on the menu: soupe du jour, salads, fish, plates of charcuterie, and various cocottes. A special Demoiselle Afternoon Tea is also available. And Zagat's blog makes note of a baked lobster fishcake.

The restaurant serves up to 60 covers in banquette seating and is open from Monday to Saturday 10am - 7pm and Sunday 11.30am – 6pm. No reservations policy. For more information, visit www.galvinrestaurants.com.
