New York Buzz — Skip the Line at Rockefeller Plaza Skating Rink

This week, the Rink at New York City's Rockefeller Center opened, kicking off the ice skating season.

And while a visit to the urban rink is a Manhattan tradition (especially once the iconic tree is lit), this year will offer a new perk: City website Gothamist is reporting that the Rink is offering a “VIP Express Skating” pass, which will be available from November 16 through January 7. The $95-per-person pass gives guests VIP reservations, allowing them to "bypass the line and enjoy admission, skate rental, hot cocoa, and a friendly skate concierge."

We're not entirely sure what a "skate concierge" is, and the rink's website doesn't offer any clues, but we'll just be glad for the chance to skip the line and enjoy some prime ice time.
