New York's Cafe Moomah to Reopen in Tribeca

Families in New York have a new downtown destination: Moomah, the family-friendly Tribeca cafe from Tracey Stewart (comedian and Daily Show host Jon Stewart's wife), has reopened its doors (in a somewhat scaled-down format) after a very brief closure. The “new” Moomah serves Counter Culture coffee, fresh-squeezed juices, smoothies, snacks from Colson Patisserie, gluten-free options from Sans Bakery, seasonal quiche, soup, Zuckers bagels and Three Twins Organic ice cream. Locavores will be thrilled: The cafe's food is sourced from local farmers and purveyors whenever possible.

On Thursdays and Saturdays, Moomah will host art workshops for families (children under the age of four years must be accompanied by an adult) that focus on arts and crafts themes. Next up on the schedule:

Thursday, May 17: Decorate a Pot, Plant a Flower
Saturday, May 19: Design a Tote or T-shirt for Mom
Thursday, May 24: Sculpture
Thursday, May 31 and Saturday, June 2: Paint a Bird House & Make a Cozy Nest
Thursday, June 7 & Saturday, June 9: Mixed Media Collage & Frame

Cafe Moomah is located at 161 Hudson Street between Laight and Hubert. Visit moomah.com for more information.
