In the popular tourist destination of Phuket, the Nai Harn has recently made a buzzworthy debut. The iconic property—formerly the Royal Phuket Yacht Club—was transformed during an 18-month renovation. First opened in 1986, the Royal Phuket Yacht Club welcomed a string of celebrity guests over the years, including royalty like Prince Albert of Monaco, and actors like Roger Moore, during the filming of Dr. No.
The reimagined hotel has 130 rooms and suites with private terrace barbecues overlooking Nai Harn Beach. There’s a spa, fitness facilities, gorgeous swimming pool, beachside butler service, and a water sports center where scuba diving and snorkeling excursions can be arranged. In addition, there are four food and beverage options.
Recruited from the Soneva Kiri, Frank Grassmann is the General Manager, and he seeks to reposition the resort in offering “authentic destination experiences, extraordinary culinary happenings and expertly curated connections to the best of island life and local culture”-- to quote the official press release.
