Passing through Hong Kong international airport? Peninsula Hotels has opened its first-ever airport boutique with a vast selection of gifts and exclusive Peninsula merchandise. The famed hospitality company renovated their flagship store at The Peninsula Hong Kong in November 2012, and recruited the same designer to conceive the airport boutique. Inspired by travel in its design, the shop resembles a leather trunk with wood, leather, and marble counter tops.
The Peninsula Boutique is located in the 'I Love Hong Kong' retail zone, which is fitting as the hotel has been a landmark in Hong Kong since 1928, and the retail offerings are promoted as a “touch and taste of Hong Kong.” Gourmet delicacies run the gamut from artisanal cookies and bespoke Peninsula tea blends to fine handmade chocolates by Maître Chocolatier, Marijn Coertjens, who helms 'The Chocolate Room' at The Peninsula Hong Kong. Other gifts include silver-plated photo frames, keepsake boxes, souvenir mugs and tote bags depicting the signature Peninsula Bear.
