A vintage post box, retro telephones and a corner shop of minibar-style treats are some of the fun touches at the newly unveiled Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square, a Georgian gem in the heart of the city’s New Town. The beautifully styled interiors – think a sophisticated colour palette and Chesterfield-style sofas – take their design inspiration from the “golden age of travel”. Head to Baba for a culinary tour of the eastern Med, followed by first-class cocktails in the leafy central courtyard.
