Here's a reason why Manila needs to be on your radar: Raffles Hotels & Resorts has officially opened its latest hotel there.

The official launch was in December, but a Grand Opening rocked the city on February 7. Raffles Makati sits in a brand-new 30-floor tower, home to three areas: Raffles Makati, with 32 suites; Raffles Residences, with 237 one to four bedroom residences; and Fairmont Makati, a hotel with 280 deluxe rooms.

Raffles Makati's suites span the 9th and 10th floors of the tower. We love the floor-to-ceiling windows with views over the city. Raffles aficionados will love that the Long Bar has made the trek to the Philippines. It features similar decor to the Long Bar in Singapore, with tropical punk fans, terra-cotta tiled floor and long-stemmed ceiling fans.
