Renovated Iberostar Opens in Spain's Canary Islands

Big news from the Canary Islands, one of Spain's loveliest resort vacation destinations: Iberostar Hotels & Resorts’ historic Grand Hotel Mencey in Santa Cruz de Tenerife opened its doors today after a multi-million dollar renovation. The chain is looking to expand its all-inclusive beach resort portfolio to include urban lodgings in select locations, most recently in Budapest, Hungary.

Set in a romantic Spanish colonial-style complex, and with a design and decor scheme that we hear evokes the glamour of the 1940s (but with modern amenities and technology, of course), the Mencey is the only five-star hotel in Santa Cruz.
